Dune 3 Ain’t Dropping Out Of Air!

Denis Villeneuve, the visionary director of Dune and its upcoming sequel, has a clear message for the fans who are eagerly awaiting the third and final instalment of the epic sci-fi saga don’t get too excited.

The last time Villeneuve was in a recent interview, he gave an exciting statement that he would not be willing to compromise the quality of his work for the release date. He said that he “is not a robot,” and he needs time to “absorb” the story before he “looks at the situation from various perspectives” and decides the right angle to approach it.

He addressed also being brainwashed by Hollywood habit that delivers priorities such as deadlines over art and integrity. He said that he is not interested in directing for the sake of directing movies but that he aims to “direct the films that have substance”; the ones that “matter”.

The world of ‘Dune’ that Villeneuve created is no less than a dream come true – it shattered all worldwide box office records, won endless acclaim from critics, and has been nominated for several prestigious awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. The flick, of course, eventually spawned a strong fan base that commended its great visuals, gripping world-building, and faithful adaptation of the famous novel by Frank Herbert.

The third part of The Dune which will cover the second half of the book is scheduled to be in cinemas on 1 March 2024. Villeneuve highlighted that he is very pleased to put out another part of Paul’s Atreides and his allies’ yarn and that he presumes to give a surprise and a delight to the viewers along with his vision.
