Finally Big Update On Pirates Of The Carribbean

Break out the rum and prepare to hoist the Jolly Roger once again because the high seas of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise are about to get a reboot! That’s right, Jerry Bruckheimer himself has confirmed that we’re in for a whole new voyage.

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Bruckheimer spilled the beans, revealing that the next installment in the beloved Disney adventure series will be a fresh start. And what does that mean for our beloved Captain Jack Sparrow, portrayed magnificently by the incomparable Johnny Depp? Well, buckle your swashes because it seems Captain Jack might be taking an extended shore leave. Sadly, no Depp in this next adventure on the high seas.

Bruckheimer hinted that the reboot will allow for a quicker journey to the silver screen. And while we’ll surely miss Depp’s iconic portrayal, there’s excitement in the air as we wonder who will take the helm of the Black Pearl and lead us on this new escapade.

But wait, there’s more! Variety reported back in the summer of 2020 that Disney had not one, but two ships in the water: a reboot led by the sensational Margot Robbie and a sixth film in the original franchise.

And let’s not forget the intriguing tidbit from Craig Mazin, one of the pens behind the upcoming sixth installment. He teased that the script is so wonderfully weird, they were shocked Disney even said “aye” to it. Well, shiver me timbers! If that’s not a sign of a thrilling voyage ahead, I don’t know what is.

Margot Robbie’s own pirate adventure, with a script crafted by the talented Christina Hodson, hit some rough seas. Vanity Fair reported that the project was dropped faster than a cannonball in Davy Jones’ locker. But fear not, for Bruckheimer assures us that Robbie’s script will set sail eventually. It seems Disney is just biding its time, waiting for the perfect wind to fill its sails.
