Marvel’s Echo, the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has sent shockwaves through social media with its imminent debut on Disney+ and Hulu. While critics have had a sneak peek at the first three episodes, the reactions are a mixed bag of excitement and intrigue.
One critic, Marvel’s #Echo starts off slow most of the first episode is essentially a prologue but it quickly improves from there. With breathless fight scenes and a stunningly unique voice, Echo is one of Marvel’s best Disney+ offerings in a long time.
Another viewer watched the first three episodes and shared, “Watched the first three episodes of Marvel’s Echo. It does some unexpected things but I’m not sold yet until I see the whole 5-ep season. Seeing Wilson Fisk and Daredevil back is just awesome and the series mostly fits the old Daredevil universe. I’m happy it’s a binge drop.”
Meanwhile, #Echo drops on @DisneyPlus tomorrow, and the first episode delivers a tragic backstory while delivering justice to the character. Alaqua Cox is great & the atmospheric Episode 1 exceeds expectations. Very interesting sound design, as well.
Expressing a more nuanced perspective, another critic stated, “I really enjoyed what I’ve seen of #echo so far. It’s an intimate & grounded story that kinda feels like Ozark or Son of Anarchy w/ an #MCU twist. The action is top-notch & feels like it’s a continuation of the #Marvel’s #netlfix show while also picking up where #hawkeye left off.”
Perhaps the most fervent reaction comes from someone who declares, “#Echo is BRUTAL, UNFLINCHING & RELENTLESS. Alaqua Cox & Vincent D’Onofrio bring a level of RAWNESS and DEPTH to the MCU not seen since the Daredevil series. Its storytelling is intricate and captivating, while the action is rich & ruthless, making it the first must-watch of 2024.”
And then, a fan who had the privilege of watching 3 episodes of #ECHO exclaimed, “It’s awesome to see a show that celebrates Indigenous cultures & the disabled community. It fits right into the Daredevil/Kingpin universe. You can feel the seeds of a unique, more mature section of the #MCU. #Marvel.”
As the show drops all episodes this week, fans are gearing up for a binge-worthy experience, anticipating a unique and mature section of the MCU that resonates with diversity and storytelling prowess.
