Snyder’s Major Problem: No Ear For Critique

At this point Zack Snyder is used to receiving negative reviews for his movies. Although he has some remarkable titles inside his bag, like Man of Steel to Sucker Punch, Watchman etc. But, most of his movies get mixed to negative reviews. Similarly it is true for his latest release Rebel Moon as well. It was available on Netflix, but apart from some Snyder fanatics nobody tends to enjoy this movie.

The movie focuses on a young soldier who seeks to rectify her past by recruiting a team to take down the unfair regime that rules the galaxy. The Rebel Moon has a fantastic cast starring Charlie Hunnam, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Ray Fisher and Anthony Hopkins. A good number of stars will return for the sequel “Part Two – The Sacrgiver” as well.

But in the meantime it seems Zack accepted the critic’s comments. In a recent interview Snyder said , “ I don’t really have a rebuttal to the reviews. For whatever reason, the reaction to my movies is very polarising, and it always has been.” At this point probably he is used to the audience being divided into two groups. Very few of his movies actually received wide appreciation like “Justice League- Snyder’s cut”.

“Rebel Moon- Part One: A Child of Fire”, has a 21% critic approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and has a 58% audience rating. It is streaming on Netflix and the probability of Part Two coming on the platform is April 19, 2024.
