‘1’ Mobile App gets good response

Makers of Mahesh’ 1 Nenokkadine not only have the passion for cinema, they also have lot of experience in IT industry and their IT business based off of Chicago, IL is a well known firm in US. Unsurprisingly they have thought about an App for their film ‘1’ and it turns out to be very successful idea, however there is lot of scope for it’s improvement. It was said that the App has been downloaded 10,000 times and generated over 2 lakh hits in just few days after it went live. Though it is not the first time Telugu movie has got an App on mobile but 14 reels gets the credit for making it official and promoting it well. Bollywood has been doing this quite a while and now the buzz is about 10 Telugu up-coming films are going to follow the bandwagon.

Usage of smartphones is on a rise and we can clearly see why film makers want to exploit the medium to the movie promotions. Producer of Tollywood’s most expensive film ‘Baahubali’ Shobu Yarlgadda said they have also started looking at avenues to market the period drama leveraging the mobile phone platform. And why not? when it helps the movie generates a loud buzz right in the pocket of a movie fan.
