100 Cr First Week Share for Baahubali

And the first week of the historical success Baahubali has come to an end. So what are the numbers saying and what lies ahead for Baahubali?

In the first week Baahubali has amassed an unheard of before 100 Cr share from just the Telugu version alone. This is a worldwide number but it is arrived at with only the Telugu version. This is a first for Telugu cinema. To put things into perspective only two South Indian films have achieved this feat before and those two are Shankar directed Robo and I.

Coming to the numbers from two Telugu states Baahubali has collected around 61 Cr share. With this Baahubali is just few lakhs away from being the highest grosser in Telugu states overtaking Magadheera, a record which has stayed till now. In its stay at the top only one film, Atharintiki Daredi in all these years had threatened it somewhat. Now just imagine how long Baahubali could stay at the top.

Finally the biggest thing to look ahead for Baahubali now that it is truly the highest grossing film in Overseas and two Telugu states is watching it become South India’s Biggest Hit overtaking Robo. Baahubali is expected to accomplish this feat by the end of the weekend, if not tomorrow. And once it does that there are only new milestones to be set.
