Many were of the assumption that 118 would be a concept-oriented thriller and it is precisely what we get. Also, there has to be ‘action’ since it is a mass hero doing the film. 118 ticks on both aspects and at least in the theatrical trailer manages to give a positive impact. The intrigue is maintained. The ultimate success would be determined by how well the core concept and mass sensibilities are blended without erring to extremes on either the logical or illogical side.
