The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) complained to the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting against the movie and even demanded to revoke the U/A censor certificate that was passed by Censor Board of Film Certification. They claim that the movie has falsely portrayed that cell phones are responsible for harming the environment. They term it as anti-scientific attitude towards mobile services.

From the teaser, trailer and the promotional interaction, the makers of the movie had confirmed that they are going to discuss the problem of getting addicted to mobile phones and how the extensive use of mobile phones is detrimental to the environmental health. Will the movie’s release be suspended as per the demand of COAI? Let’s wait and see. Meanwhile, this controversy will certainly add to the promotions of India’s costliest movie, to date.
