Run Time Shorter Than Blockbuster Prequel

Rajinikanth’s upcoming sci-fi thriller ‘2.0‘ is getting ready for 29th November release. The superstar’s fans can expect the screenplay of the movie to be tight as the run-time of the movie is the shortest among all Shankar’s movies. His last movie that has the shortest run-time was ‘Enthiran’ with 167 minutes long.

Now, ‘2.0’ that was certified with U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification will have the run-time of only 148 minutes. This was the costliest movie ever made in the Indian cinema, to date. The major chunk of the budget went to the computer graphics and VFX works. This is also the first movie that was totally shot in 3D. Let’s expect a racy narration as Rajinikanth has promised, earlier.

A lot is at stake as the makers had invested hugely in this movie and the makers have to ensure that the movie’s run-time is taut and such a movie shouldn’t bore the audiences with a lengthy run-time. Even the prequel had a shorter run-time though not as short as ‘2.0’.
