2.0 Opening – Ordinary

The crazy and mammoth project 2.0 has arrived and failed to live up to its billing as a biggie. The openings are ordinary keeping in mind the nature of the project.

In the Telugu states, 2.0 has collected approximately 13 Cr. It is highest for a Superstar Rajinikanth film beating his previous best Kabali, and the same is true for Shankar who bettered I. however, just merely battering their previous efforts was not the expectations from 2.0. It was supposed to shatter the previous best numbers and set a new record (among dubbed films) by a mile. Unfortunately, that has not been the case.

The good news is that there is no sign of crash as of now. It means the movie is likely to have a healthy weekend. The bad news is the acquiring price is so high that a decent weekend isn’t going to be enough for it to breakeven. If the movie fails, which it is likely to, it would be a hat-trick failure for director Shankar in Telugu.
