Jai Ho: The first one to release which has a Murugadoss name attached to it would be Jai Ho starring Salman Khan. This film is a remake of AR Murugadoss directed Stalin in Telugu which had Chiranjeevi in the lead. The film would be releasing in a month’s time for Republic day festival and it also marks the return of Salman Khan to silver screen after more than a year’s gap. The film is expected to shatter all the opening records created recently by Dhoom 3.
Holiday: This is a remake of director’s own Thuppakki film and is directed by Murugadoss himself. This will be his second direct Hindi film even though it’s another remake from him. The film is already having tremendous expectations among the trade and is expected to be the biggest hit for Akshay Kumar.
Gabbar: This Independence Day weekend release film is a remake of Murugadoss directed Ramana that had Vijaykanth in the lead. Telugu audience would however remember the film as a remake of Tagore thanks to the presence of Chiranjeevi. Another interesting fact is this remake will be helmed by our very own Krish director of films like Gamyam and Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum. Akshay Kumar is the hero of this film as well.
Untitled film with Vijay: The year will be rounded off by another film directed by AR Murugadoss. Unlike Holiday this will be an original film and will have Tamil star Vijay in the lead with whom the director had made Thuppakki in the past. The makers are planning to release the film for Diwali again to repeat the Thuppakki magic. Samantha is reportedly acting as heroine in this film which is expected to create a big bang on its release.
