4 Outright Rejections. NTR Is No Exception

NTR Mahanayakudu is out and the film grossed $101,460 from Premieres. Well, that tells the fate of the movie already, but actually better than how the other political films did. Speaking of the performance of the political backdrop films, none of the political biopics worked so far out of the four that released this year.

Why did not the people show interest? The main reason for the failure is because they are not honest, or for the film being associated with a political party? It can be. Also, these films come with a lot of negativity due to the obvious reasons.

It is not just the case of Mahanayakudu, all the four films, Yatra, Accidental Prime Minister and Thackeray did the same or even worse both in India and outside too. Sticking to Telugu, in a best-case scenario, NTR’s Mahanayakudu may cross Yatra in the US but possibly cannot do as much as it was hyped. Maybe the audience wants a raw truth rather than a polished fake when it comes to political biopics, or its just that one cannot satisfy everyone with a political story even if it is shown real.
