83’s OTT Release Date Is Here

Sports-oriented biographical drama, 83 faced a rather strange situation. The film garnered encouraging reviews but that did help the cause at the box office. The Ranveer Singh starrer ended up as a huge box office dud.

Now, 83 is set for OTT debut. The film is likely to premiere on Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar on the 18th of February. An official announcement on the same is expected to be made shortly.

As it appears, 83 is set to arrive on OTT just over 7 weeks post its theatrical release. The film’s theatrical run came to a close a long while ago and there was absolutely no reason to hold back on the OTT release any further.

The original Hindi version will be streaming on Netflix while the South Indian language versions(Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam will be arriving on Disney+ Hotstar.

83 is the kind of a film that is better suited for the OTT audience and we need to wait and see if the film can strike a chord with the OTT crowd. The film is based on India’s triumphant run in the 1983 men’s cricket world cup. The Kabir Khan directorial has Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Jiiva, and others in important roles.
