Female Director Bashed for Free-Spirited Approach

‘90 ML‘, the Tamil movie that talks about free-spirited women and their talk on alcohol, sex and drugs, is coming to Telugu as ’90 ML Idi Chaalaa Thakkuva’. In Tamil, the movie was slammed for its poor content and the way women were seen using abusive language in the name of free-spirited women.

However, there is also another approach debating why women shouldn’t also express their opinions about sex over drinks and alcohol as men do. The director of the movie, Anitha Udeep whose screen (creative) name is Alagiya Asura is facing a lot of abuse on social media when people are slamming her for not the poor content but with their male chauvinistic style. The female director knows that she made an adult movie with girls talking about sex unlike what we see in adult comedies and entertainers where men talk about sex freely using double meaning inundates.

She is being trolled on social media and Anita calls them as double standards. Though there is talk about feminism and women empowerment subtly laid in the movie, the vulgar dialogues and scenes have been under the radar since the Tamil version came into the theatres. What would happen when the Telugu dubbed version comes into the theatres in the Telugu States?
