95 Day Oscar Countdown Starts For RRR

RRR is a raging success in the Western circuit. The film is now in the Oscars race in the general category and there’s a whole lot of anticipation surrounding the same. Now, a 95-day countdown for the Oscars has started.

Earlier, “We’re officially 95 days away from the 95th Academy Awards. #Oscars95 Nominations will be announced on January 24th. Which films from this year would you put on your #Oscars ballot?” The Academy tweeted.

Interestingly, over 80% of the comments on the tweet are related to RRR. This speaks a lot about the kind of hype surrounding RRR getting nominated for the Oscars.

The 95th Oscars are set to be held on the 12th of March, which is exactly 95 days from now. Meanwhile, Rajamouli has been extensively touring the west and interacting with Hollywood media outlets in a bid to push RRR’s Oscars race.

The fact that Rajamouli recently won New York Film Critics Circle – Best Director Award has added more boost to RRR’s Oscars campaign.
