‘A Film by’ Stamp Is a Dumb Idea!

Director Jayant C Paranjee is making a comeback soon and has a film lined up with politician Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s son. Speaking about it, he said in an interview that from now onwards he will make films which he can be extremely proud of.

Also shedding light about the filmmaking process, Jayant said that the practice of having the stamp ‘A film by so and so’ at the end should not exist at all. Adding further, he said that filmmaking is a collective effort and so many technicians work on it day and night and no director can steal the entire credit. Though he didn’t take any dig at anyone this statement immediately reminds Rajamouli which stamps every film ‘An SS Rajamouli Film’, likewise Boyapati too prints ‘A Boyapati Film’ on the publicity material.

Jayant said even though some directors use it till date, this practice should go away from Tollywood as the other departments also need to get credit for their work and not only the director.
