A ‘Hit’ September Loading For Telugu OTT Space?

Tollywood saw as many as 3 super hits at the box office this August. The said hit films are Bramhastra, Bimbisara, and Karthikeya 2.

Incidentally, Sita Ramam is already set for its OTT debut as the film will be made available for stream on Amazon Prime Video from the 9th of this month. This will be the first box office hit to arrive on OTT in the recent times.

Then there is Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara which is another box office hit and released alongside Sita Ramam. It is heard that the Kalyan Ram starrer’s post theatrical OTT rights are with ZEE5. This film could also be arriving on OTT this month if the 6-week OTT release clause is triggered by the OTT platform.

Same with Karthikeya 2 as well. This film also released in the early half of August and it went on a super run at the box office. This films OTT rights are also with ZEE5. So, ZEE5 has two potential OTT films in hand. If they orchestrate 6-week OTT release for these films, then both of them should arrive on OTT in September.

So, it is safe to say that the Telugu OTT space could be seeing 3 box office hits arriving on OTT this month.
