Google gets a new logo

As far as digital technology is concerned, it has to keep up with the changes in time. The same is true for Google which just updated its logo replacing the logo which has been in place since September of 2013. The new logo is not only brighter, but also bigger.

While the new logo has the same scheme of colour, it is brighter. Besides that, the company has also switched to a new custom typeface which is a thicker sans-serif. Interestingly enough, Google’s new parent company Alphabet uses the same typeface for its logo.

This upgrade comes from a practical viewpoint. As Google products increasingly conquer the mobile market and wearables, its logo needs to be suitable for those products. This new and upgraded logo is easier to read even when shrunk down.
