Aadarsha Kutumbam Trailer Launch Sparks Campus Worry

The Aadarsha Kutumbam trailer launch has triggered a debate that could affect film promotions across Tollywood. The event at Malla Reddy University in Hyderabad became controversial after Preethi Reddy, vice-chairperson of Malla Reddy Educational Institutions, announced a holiday on October 30 so students could watch the Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas film.

While the announcement drew cheers from students, it also faced criticism on social media. Many are now questioning whether educational institutions should host film events and make such announcements for movie releases.

The debate is reportedly beginning to affect other film teams as well. According to inside reports, some producers who had already planned promotional events at colleges and universities are receiving apology emails and messages from managements unwilling to go ahead with the scheduled programmes.

College campuses have become popular venues for film promotions, giving stars direct access to young audiences. If more institutions decide to stay away, producers who have already made arrangements could be forced to find alternative venues at short notice.

There is no confirmation of a blanket ban on film events at educational institutions. However, the Aadarsha Kutumbam controversy has reportedly created uncertainty among producers, with the debate over taking cinema into college campuses now extending beyond a single film.
