Aadi Saikumar knows what it feels like to experience both success and failure in the film industry. His debut Prema Kavali turned out to be a big hit. However, a series of disasters later affected his career. His recent film Shambhala brought him some relief. Now, the actor has responded to online trolling that questioned his market and compared him unfavorably with YouTubers.
A social media user mocked Aadi by suggesting that he had been in the industry for years without making much progress, while a relatively new YouTuber like Mouli had supposedly built a bigger market. Aadi used the opportunity to make a broader point about the way people discuss actors and their careers online.
“Every hero has his own story and his own struggles,” Aadi said, pointing out that his father, Sai Kumar, struggled for a long time, as did Ravi Teja. He questioned whether their difficult phases meant they were finished. According to Aadi, every actor experiences ups and downs, and people should encourage others instead of constantly pulling them down.
The actor also slammed the growing toxicity on X, saying the platform has increasingly become a space for fan wars rather than a place to celebrate cinema. A few failures can quickly become material for mockery, while a successful film can change the same actor’s image overnight.
Aadi’s message is simple: if you cannot encourage someone who is struggling, at least stop treating their failures as a reason to humiliate them.
Every hero has his own story and his own struggles. Nana struggled for a long time, and so did Ravi Anna. Does that mean they were down and out? Absolutely not!
Every actor goes through ups and downs. Instead of pulling people down, try encouraging them. Cinema is a journey, and success and failure are part of it.
It’s because of negativity like this that Twitter has become more about fan wars than celebrating cinema. Learn to respect everyone’s journey
