Acharya Gets Tentative OTT Release Date

The theatrical run of Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan’s Acharya has almost come to end just 4 days from the theatrical release. Now, an interesting update on the tentative OTT release date of Acharya has surfaced on the internet.

As per the latest reports, Acharya will be arriving on its OTT streaming partner, Amazon Prime Video 4 weeks post its theatrical release, if not earlier.

In all likelihood, Acharya might be arriving on Amazon Prime Video on the 27th of May, which is exactly 4 weeks post the theatrical debut date.

But in the meanwhile, there is also a talk that the makers of Acharya are negotiating with Amazon Prime regarding an early OTT release deal in a bid to make some extra money off the deal. If things work out, Acharya might be arriving on Amazon Prime earlier than expected.

However, when we caught up with our sources at Amazon Prime Video, it was understood that the early OT release prospect is unlikely.

In terms of box office revenues, it is estimated that Acharya might end up as one of the biggest duds in Telugu cinema. The film is not expected to recover even half of its theatrical rights valuation.
