Acharya @ USA BO: Saana Kastam

Acharya, despite being a mega multistarrer that marks the coming together of Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan couldn’t generate desired impetus at the box office. In fact, the film has posted very low numbers in the USA market.

As per the latest update, Acharya has made mere $804 K from the Thursday premieres and opening day Friday in the USA market.

This is a shockingly low number for a Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan starrer and especially so, given that the latter is fresh off the success of RRR which made over $14.5 million in USA. Adding to that, there’s the star director image as well. Koratala Siva has an excellent track record in the USA and his previous film, Bharat Ane Nenu made around $3.4 million.

Regardless, Acharya just couldn’t rake up the moolah at the USA box office as it posted $804K from premieres and opening day. It remains to be seen how the film fares on the all-important first Saturday. The trend isn’t all that promising though.

Unless something miraculous happens, Acharya’s USA run will be done and dusted in its opening weekend itself, which will be an abysmal display by a film featuring not one but two stars.
