Actor Blames Pushpa 2 for Early OTT Release?

Directed by Eashvar Karthic, Satyadev Kancharana’s Zebra was released in November 2024 and received a mixed response.

The film follows Surya (played by Satyadev), a bank employee who unwittingly becomes entangled in a complex financial scam, triggering a series of intense events.

The movie is set to debut on aha OTT on December 20, 2024.

At a recent event, when asked if he felt the film was arriving on OTT too soon, Satyadev responded, “Our film got a two-week theatrical window. After that, Pushpa 2 released, leaving us with no theaters. Now, the film is releasing after four weeks on OTT. I’m happy with this timing, unlike my last film, Krishnamma, which was on OTT just one week after its theatrical release.”

Satyadev further clarified, “Our theatrical run ended in two weeks, and since there were no theaters left after Pushpa 2 released, there was no point in delaying the OTT release. So, it’s all good.”

In a subtle yet noticeable way, Satyadev hinted that Pushpa 2 was responsible for cutting short Zebra’s theatrical run. Though there was a tinge of sadness in his tone, he expressed satisfaction with the upcoming OTT release.
