After A Healthy Weekend, Gang Leader Drops Big On Weekdays

Natural Star Nani’s Gang Leader has a good weekend at the box office. The movie went from strength to strength on its first three days. At many places, the third day was bigger than the first and second.

The weekend numbers are around 16 Cr share worldwide. Among them, close to 12 Cr is from the Telugu states. It is almost similar to Nani’s last release, Jersey, but with a small but crucial difference. The weekend numbers have shown an upward trajectory in the Telugu states, and they have helped in getting to the overall worldwide figure.

The weekdays were always going to be crucial for breakeven of Gang Leader. The first Monday has started on a dull note. The collections were a little above 1 Cr. If this is how things are going to pan out for the rest of the week, the breakeven could be a difficult task to achieve.

Gang Leader is the first time combination of Nani and Vikram Kumar of Manam, 24, and Hello fame. It was expected to do well in the A centres and the US. It looked like on track based on the weekend, but the weekdays are proving to be an anti-climax. Still, there is a long way to go. Let’s wait and see how the movie progresses from here.
