After Bheemla, Liger On Hotstar?

Disney+ Hotstar has levelled up big time. Not so long ago, the OTT giant roped in Ram Charan as the brand ambassador. Now, they are on a signing spree and are bagging multiple biggies. The blockbuster success of Akhanda has given new josh to the platform.

Now, speculations are rife that Disney+ Hotstar has acquired a couple more Telugu biggies. As per reports, Hotstar has snapped up the post theatrical digital streaming rights of mainstream biggies like Bheemla Nayak and Liger.

There are reports claiming that Disney Hotstar spent as much as Rs 65 crores for the digital streaming rights of Liger. If that really is the case, this is one of the biggest OTT deals in Tollywood.

If there is one way to expand the brand value, and more importantly, the subscriber base, it would be acquiring A-lister projects. If the OTT giant really has bagged Bheemla Nayak and Liger, these films could help in expanding the platform’s footprint in the Telugu states.
