After Suriya, It’s Karthi’s Turn to Sell Rights for Them

The makers of Karthi’s upcoming movie ‘Sulthan’ sold the digital rights of their movie to Amazon Prime. This movie Rashmika Mandanna’s debut into the Tamil Film Industry.

Coming to selling the rights to Amazon, ‘Sulthan’ will not go for a direct OTT release. As before the pandemic, the movie would fist go for theatrical release and then only after a window period, a month, it would stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Karthi’s brother, Suriya’s ‘Soorarai Pottru‘ is going for a direct OTT release on Amazon. After Suriya, it’s Karthi’s movie that’s going for Amazon. Prior to these two movies, even Jyothika’s ‘Ponmagal Vandhal’ was also released on Amazon, directly.

Looks like Amazon became a favourite for the members of the entire family. Suriya actually went against the tide of theatre owners and chose a digital release for his wife’s movie and his movie.
