Director M.S. Raju, known for bringing a distinctive sensibility to his films, is back with a supernatural mystery. His latest outing ‘Agadha’ is set for its OTT premiere on ZEE5 Telugu on September 25.
The film stars Kamakshi Bhaskarla in the lead, along with Shravan Reddy, Ulka Gupta, Jovika Vijay Kumar, Roshan Basheer, Bhanu Chander and Vanitha Vijayakumar in supporting roles.
‘Agadha’ revolves around Mahadevi, played by Kamakshi Bhaskarla. Her life takes an unexpected turn when a series of unexplained deaths and the mysterious suicide of her cousin lead her towards a deeper mystery.
Her search for the truth eventually takes her into a forbidden forest cave. There, she comes face-to-face with a mysterious supernatural presence known as Agadha.
M.S. Raju builds the film around this central mystery, blending supernatural elements with spirituality, mythology and suspense. The director explores a world where faith and the unknown exist alongside each other, giving the narrative its setting.
Kamakshi Bhaskarla carries the story as Mahadevi, while the supporting cast adds to the mysterious world created by the director.
Nani Chamidisetty handled the cinematography, Rakesh Venkatapuram composed the music and Junaid Siddiqui edited the film.
Produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu under the Sri Adi Varaha Productions banner, ‘Agadha’ is now heading to OTT after its theatrical run.
