On release day, Ajith Kumar-starrer “Arrambam”, has registered a blockbuster opening of Rs. 10.23 crore in India.
According to trade insiders, this is the best opening for an Ajith film on first day and is expected to exponentially grow over the weekend. Made on a budget of Rs. 60 crore, the had a solo release in record number of screens worldwide Thursday, and therefore, is expected to register a record weekend opening worldwide
Since the overall response has been positive, trade pundits expect the film to mint anywhere between 20 and 25 crore in the opening weekend worldwide. We will have to wait and find out as two other Telugu films are releasing today in Tamil Nadu.
Directed by Vishnuvardhan, the film was produced by Sri Satya Sai Movies. Meanwhile, the Telugu dubbed version of the film titled “Aata Arrambam” is slated to release Nov 21. The dubbing rights were reportedly sold for a whopping Rs. 6 crore.
