Boyapati’s First Time Ever with NBK: Double Twist

The much-anticipated sequel Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and directed by Boyapati Srinu, is already generating buzz among fans and within the film industry.

The first installment, Akhanda, became a blockbuster thanks largely to Balakrishna’s intense and powerful portrayal of an Aghora. Now, the sequel promises to raise the stakes even higher.

Until recently, all the filming for Akhanda 2 had been confined to various locations in India, primarily around Hyderabad. But in a major development, the team has kicked off an international shooting schedule in Georgia, Europe.

This marks the first overseas shoot for the film—and it’s not just for scenic visuals. A high-octane action sequence is currently being filmed, one that is expected to be a major highlight of the movie.

This particular action scene is said to feature several foreign fighters and will be mounted on a grand, cinematic scale. What makes it even more intriguing is that it will also reveal a crucial twist about Balakrishna’s second role in the film.

While audiences are already familiar with the Aghora avatar from the first movie, the second character has been deliberately kept a mystery. However, this overseas schedule has led to a few hints leaking out, sparking intense curiosity among fans.

Speculation is rife about how unique and powerful this new role might be—especially given how iconic the Aghora character already is.

Akhanda 2 is currently slated for a September release. However, if post-production extends beyond schedule, the makers are considering a Dussehra release in October instead.
