Akhil Picks A Fight With Naga Chaitanya

Akhil Akkineni had some respite with Most Eligible Bachelor. He is now pinning hopes on his forthcoming biggie, Agent, which is currently in the filming phase.

Coming to the point, the makers of Agent have announced that the film will be releasing on the 12th of August. This is an ideal release slot as it comes with a 4-day long weekend advantage as Independence Day falls on 15th August.

The makers dropped a striking new poster which gives a peek of Akhil’s look in the film. He is seen holding an assault rifle in his hand amidst an action-packed backdrop. This could be an indication of the film’s theme. “The Wild One” the poster reads.

For the first time in his career, Akhil is collaborating with a star director. He is joining hands with Surender Reddy for Agent, which also happens to be the costliest project in this career.

Incidentally, Agent will have an indirect clash with Laal Singh Chaddha (August 11) which has Naga Chaitanya in an important role. But LSC won’t have much of an impact on the Akhil starrer in the Telugu states as it doesn’t have much appeal here.

Agent marks the coming together of Akhil, Surender Reddy, and AK Entertainments. The film is billed to be a high octane action entertainer and Akhil had built a rugged physique for the same.
