Akkinenis’ Response On NBK’s Tongue Slip Is Totally Justified

A couple of nights ago, Nandamuri Balakrishna had a tongue slip moment on stage while speaking at the success meet event of Veera Simha Reddy. He referred to SV Ranga Rao as “aa Ranga Rao ee Ranga Rao” and also said “Akkineni Thokkineni”.

This didn’t sit well with the netizens and everyone opines that a person of Balayya’s stature shouldn’t have said something like this.

Now, young-gen Akkineni heroes, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni had reacted to Balakrishna’s comment.

“Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao garu, Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu and S.V Ranga Rao garu’s creative contributions have been the pride and pillars of Telugu Cinema. Disrespecting them is degrading ourselves.” Akhil, and Chaitanya wrote in their individual social media posts.

The Akkineni heroes are evidently referring to Balakrishna’s comment and they aren’t pleased with it. They are polite, and at the same time, affirmative, and their response is indeed a justified one.

Needless to say, Balakrishna’s comment was in bad taste. It didn’t appear to be that he was meaning to belittle anyone and it appeared to have come out in flow. But that doesn’t validate his act and he should’ve been more cautious about it.
