Recent social media reports claimed Alia Bhatt had joined the cast of Kalki 2, suggesting she completed a five-day shooting schedule in Hyderabad. Speculation suggested she might replace Deepika Padukone as Sumathi or debut as a new character, such as Goddess Vaishno Devi.
A spokesperson for the film has officially denied these rumors, clarifying that no such filming has occurred. The team explained that the misinformation stemmed from a single unverified post that was widely circulated across various platforms.
The makers have urged the public to ignore these viral claims and await official announcements. Currently, director Nag Ashwin is focused on filming with Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, with Prabhas scheduled to return to the set full-time in August 2026.
