Alia Vs Shradda – One Has Better Chance in Telugu?

Two leading ladies from Bollywood are making their debut in Telugu with two magnum opuses that have a pan-Indian appeal. They are Shraddha Kapoor with Prabhas’ action-thriller ‘Saaho’ and Alia Bhatt with Rajamouli’s most awaited multi-starrer RRR. Who will be on the gaining side if we compare the upcoming films of these heroines and who will have a better chance in Telugu?

Right now, as far as their Telugu debut movies, both of them equal opportunity to shine but Alia has an edge over Shraddha Kapoor as it is Rajamouli’s film for Alia and director Sujeeth for Shraddha is an unknown name in Bollywood. Both of them are getting introduced in straight Telugu films. One look at their Bollywood films and also their upcoming Bollywood ventures will give us a clear picture on who has a better chances of winning the Telugu audiences through performance.

However, it is too early to speak anything about their roles. After watching Rajamouli’s Devasena and Avantika in Baahubali, we understand that the filmmaker has made his female characters better not only screen space wise but also content wise. Playing Sita’s character alongside Ram Charan will demand subtle expressions and we are as sure as Rajamouli that she is the best available choice for the role.
