If Allu Arjun Isn’t Right, Big Trouble Loading?

Allu Arjun is one of the few star heroes in Indian cinema, who actually emphasises in technical brilliance in his films. This has worked in his favour in the recent past as all of his recent films have had good visuals and musical appeal.

However, Allu Arjun faces a significant challenge in the form of his upcoming film with Atlee which will have its music from Sai Abhyankar.

There is no doubting the fact that Sai is one of the generational talent in South Indian cinema, or perhaps you were an Indian cinema. But the fact of the matter is that he is still very young and experienced.

This was on display in Sai’s recent work Karuppu. There are multiple sequences in the first half of the film, where the music does not match the visual. The music is progressive and high pitched while the actual scene establishment is ordinary. There’s a mismatch.

People might be forgiving of this in normal films. But when the film is as big as the one with Allu Arjun, then virtually every aspect will be taken to serious consideration. Sai needs to find that flow in composing the music in order to maintain the musical tempo along with the visual.

Arjun needs to be particularly careful of this aspect as music is a crucial deciding factor for most films these days. Without a well rounded and meticulously orchestrated soundtrack, even a good visual film can do down the drain.
