Allu Arjun’s fans are pretty pumped up about the arrival of Pushpa 2 on the 6th of December. In particular, there is a social media report about the film’s pre release touching Rs 1000 crore which is the highest ever for an Inian film.
Pumped up about this, a section of Bunny’s fans are challenging Rajamouli about their film’s pre release business being as big as Rajamouli’s theatrical valuation – Rs 1000 crore. A person even tweeted that he wants Rajamouli to beg to do a film with Allu Arjun after seeing his rise.
While this might make for a good thigh-slapping moment for a section of fans, it lacks logical value.
For starters, the so-called Rs 1000 crore market in itself was opened by SS Rajamouli. He did this with Baahubali 2 and only since then has this market come into existence.
There might be people who explore this market now and again, but everyone must always have healthy respect for the market-mover, SS Rajamouli who opened this very avenue in the first place.
While others might need a sequel, or a well-marketed product to reach the Rs 1000 crore, Rajamouli does it all by himself.
That being said, one must also recognize the efforts of Bunny to have opened up a massive pan Indian market for himself without having worked with the creator of pan-Indian heroes – Rajamouli.
