Sirish Helps Limping Maharshi

We are talking about the current scenario in the US. Allu Sirish’s ‘ABCD – American Born Confused Desi‘ is out in the theatres, and collected a meager $14 K from the premiere shows at the US box-office. The movie received mixed reviews from all over.

In this case, the movie had a very slow start, and it’s clear that it’s not going to give a tough fight to any movie leave alone ‘Maharshi’ that is still in the theatres. That means there is no dent into the collections of ‘Maharshi’ because of Sirish’s ABCD. It’s actually helping ‘Maharshi’.

Nonetheless, Maharshi came to the theatres with a breakeven figure of $2.5 million and till now it has collected $1.5 million, only. It’s a long way to tread to get that figure in the US and make the buyers happy. The breakeven is quite far.

Even if ABCD was good, and could dent into the collections of Maharshi, that wouldn’t be much. That’s even not the case as ABCD started with a mixed talk. This coming weekend, we’ll get to know the things clearly for ‘Maharshi’ as the run will come to an end in the US.
