Amaravathi to disappoint the realtors!

The upcoming Capital of Andhra Pradesh will need to have several Crores of Square feet of buildings to be created in the next few years but they are very less likely to bring cheer for the local realtors and labourers. According to the recent survey conducted by the CRDA in the region, there is a gross mismatch between global standards and competency and expertise available in the region.

The state government is likely to float global tenders for the construction company for most projects in the capital. And most of the structures will be executed by international companies including those from Singapore or China.

The existing builders will not be in a position to meet the competition from multi-national companies if the funds and technology required for the quick execution are to be taken into consideration. At the same time, the construction labourers available in the notified area and surroundings right now are not skilled and trained to meet the global standards. They are likely to face stiff competition from Labourers from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka who have experience of working on huge buildings.
