Amazon Prime Starts 2022 With A OTT Winner

With each passing day, the OTT game and the content that is coming out on the digital platforms have gone to the next level altogether.

Amazon Prime, in particular, is releasing some solid films in the last few weeks and today, they have launched an original web anthology series in Tamil. Titled Putham Pudhu Kaalai: Vidiyaadha, this show has started with solid word of mouth and is getting good recognition already.

This show takes the legacy of the first anthology forward and once again brings together 5 original works from Tamil cinema in the form of director Halitha Shameem, Balaji Mohan, Richard Anthony, Surya Krishna, and Madhumita with new stories of hope and love.

All five tales hark back to themes of love, hope, and togetherness in trying times like the nationwide lockdown that India faced during the second phase of the pandemic. Each episode is directed by a different filmmaker and features notable names like Aishwarya Lekshmi, Arjun Das, Dhilip Subbarayan, Gouri G Kishan, and Joju George among others.

With this show, Amazon has started 2022 with a bang. Last year two super hit anthologies from Tamil Putham Pudhu Kaalai and Paava Kadhaigal also won a lot of hearts with the audience.
