Ambiguous: Samantha, Winner or Loser?

Pretty Samantha is undoubtedly the most desirable heroine in Telugu Film Industry. In Kollywood, her fate had been different. Though Tamil is her mother tongue, she couldn’t score even one decent hit there. She never missed any chance to star in Tamil movies and even did more than three cameos. Recently, family girl Sams shocked audiences with extreme skin show and even sporting a two piece bikini for Tamil film ‘Anjaan’. But success didn’t come to her.

Her latest Tamil ‘Kaththi’ hit theatres this 22nd October and is running to packed theatres. The film got good buzz and running towards emerging a block buster hit. Finally Samantha is going to have one big film to her credit as a winner and there is every chance that her iron leg tag in Kollywood would get removed. But for Tollywood audience, Samantha is a loser because her character in ‘Kaththi’ is nothing better than the character she played in ‘Anjaan’; just glamour show with a couple of songs.

In Tollywood, Samantha’s hit movies all had her playing important roles. Right from ‘Em Maaya Chesave’ to the recent ‘Manam’, the pretty actress got performance oriented roles in Telugu. But in Kollywood, most of her films are glamour roles except one which got her Filmfare. Even if ‘Kaththi’ scores a enviable run, Samantha’s character wouldn’t be much talked off.
