First Telugu Movie To Go Digital Release Way

There has been a lot of talk in the past few weeks regarding the direct to OTT platform release of a few Telugu movies. Well, here comes the official announcement from one such film.

The first one to make a move is a small scale production Amrutha Ramam. Surender Kontaddi directs the film, which is a love story set in the US backdrop. The trailer of the film was out in December itself. And the theatrical release was initially expected in January after Sankranthi period.

However, the release got delayed to March. Amrutha Ramam was supposed to release in the week the lockdown came into effect. Suresh Production has taken the onus to distribute the film and give it a decent release.

With no release in sight, the makers have finally decided to go digital. Amrutha Ramam will stream on Zee5 from April 29th. The film stars Ram Mittakanti, Amitha Ranganath, and Srijith Gangadharin in principal roles. Ns Prasu provides music to the love story. SN Reddy had produced the movie under Padmaja Films banner.

The industry will be watching keenly on how the audience has reacted to the movie. It will be especially crucial for the smaller ones who might be having similar thoughts.
