Anchor Rashmi Gets Backlash Over Khomeini

India believes in pluralism. People have various beliefs. One incident that surprised many in India and Hyderabad was the processions and public crying mourning the death of Iran’s Supreme leader Ayatollah Khomeini.

Rashmi took to social media to post about her irritation and indifference over this public display. She went a step further and said that such people must be sent to Iran.

This last line created a stir and got Rashmi some distasteful comments. They called her character- less and spoke about changing partners frequently.

But Rashmi did not get bogged down. In fact, she hit back saying she will see as many people as she wants as she is not married. She said her personal life was her problem and demanded proofs of their allegations.

The death of a leader in Iran has resulted in quite a bit of controversy in our very own Telugu television industry. After all, politics do have an impact on social life!
