AP and Telangana To Open Theaters Next Month?

Theaters in Maharashtra and other states of India have resumed screenings. Theaters in both the Telugu States did not take a concrete stance. A few theaters and multiplexes in Vishakapatnam and Vijayawada cities also opened again for a few days.

But they had to shut down due to a lack of new releases. It is a total closure in the case of Telangana. The Chief Minister assured allowing theaters to open in a meeting with Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna recently. Sources say that exhibitors in both states are planning to open the theaters in Decembers.

Producers are also lining up some releases in December. They may test the waters for Christmas Season. From then, it will be a trial run for a massive showdown for Sankranthi next year. More than half a dozen films are eyeing Sankranthi release as of today.

If the audience show interest in coming to theaters in the Sankranthi season, industry biggies are hoping business as usual for Summer 2021. One or more vaccines are expected to be available for Public by then.
