Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s blockbuster, Animal, received extremely polarized reviews due to its numerous unwanted ‘bold’ scenes, making some audiences uncomfortable watching with family. Despite the issues, a significant section of the audience enjoyed the film.
After the theatrical release, fans who loved the film had high hopes for Netflix India. They anticipated an additional 30 minutes of footage that was not included in the theatrical version, and many believed it would happen.
However, Animal is now streaming on the OTT giant Netflix without any additional footage. This has disappointed Vanga’s fans, and netizens are criticizing Netflix for not delivering as expected.
Usually, films of this type elicit extreme reactions on OTT, especially when a family sits down to watch the film.
It will be interesting to see how Animal is received on OTT after its blockbuster run with mixed reviews.
