Anirudh Over Estimating Himself?

2023 has been the year of young music director Anirudh. His soundtrack in films like Jailer and Jawan played a big role in making them huge blockbusters. He is in huge demand these days as a music composer and he is rejecting even big films due to a lack of dates.

On the other hand, there are reports that Anirudh has agreed to play the lead actor in a film that will be directed by action masters Anbariv (Anbumani and Arivuman). Lokesh Kanagaraj is providing the story and also doing a guest role. Reports also suggest that some big actresses are being approached for the heroine’s role.

We have seen in the past how music directors got bitten by the acting bug and ruined their careers. There have been many examples like RP Patnaik, Vijay Antony, and GV Prakash.

Anirudh is right now going through the best phase of his career as music director. The biggest of makers and heroes want him in their films to compose music. During such a period, Anirudh is taking a risk by opting for a career as a hero.

Some trade experts and also people on social media are expressing their apprehensions that Anirudh is overestimating himself and is doing the wrong thing by taking a side track when the main track is going so smoothly.
