When Anjali was doing well in her career and wanted herself a dream car, she gifted herself an expensive car and shared the pictures of herself standing alongside the car. Immediately rumors surfaced that the car was gifted by her godfather.

We need not tell that Kona Venkat was said to be her godfather. Anjali acted in Kona Venkat’s production ventures ‘Geethanjali’ and ‘Shankarabharanam’ and there was a rumor that he is acting as her godfather on whose advice she was selecting movies.

In a recent interview, Anjali said that no one gifted her that car and she doesn’t like to accept gifts from others as she has been a financially independent lady since she was very young. It was her gift to herself which was publicized as Kona’s gift. Oops!
