Another Film Confirmed for OTT Release, Date Official

The second wave has been a spoiler for the movie industry. Many films which were planned for theatrical release in Summer have got postponed with uncertainty looming large. With no respite in the offing, many films have gone for OTT. And now Ek Mini Katha follows suit after Anasuya Bhardawaj’s Thank You Brother that got released on Aha.

Karthik Rapolu’s small budget film Ek Mini Katha ended the ongoing speculations over a long and has now confirmed that it is hitting OTT this month.The film slated for release on Amazon Prime Video on May 27. Starring Santosh Shobhan, the film is an adult comedy which says ‘Does Size Matters?. The film posters have generated good buzz and the trailer is all set to be unveiled tomorrow, May 21.

Recently, the film made flutters on social media after reports came in that Amazon sealed the deal by buying for Rs 9 crores. This became a subject of discussion for netizens as the lead actor Santosh is neither a popular face and since the film is made on a shoestring budget, the digital streaming app shelling out such a huge amount has surprised many.

Meanwhile, Telugu movies on OTT have not generated huge popularity unlike other regional languages. It’s been a long time since Telugu audience watched a decent new film. It has to be seen if Ek Mini Katha will fill that void.
