Another WOM Weekend – Will MM Lead?

And we have another week where the openings are going to be nil. It is a word of mouth weekend. In the recent past, we have had some films fall into the similar category and deliver the needed talk. They did and survived till the weekend.

There are around ten films releasing tomorrow, but the top three priority movies based on the pre-release buzz generated are Mental Madhilo, Balakrishnudu, and Napoleon. Among the three Mental Madhilo has good distribution backing and proper release followed by Balakrishnudu. Napoleon truly has to deliver on content as the release is skewed towards the other two.

The question the trade is looking for an answer is, will Mental Madhilo lead the weekend? The film has already been screened to numerous industry people, and they have only positive things to say. The makers are also going for a early premiere in the US. It all indicates there is confidence in the product. Would the paying public that matters, even receive the film similarly?
