On Monday, the ANR Awards ceremony commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of Telugu cinema legend Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR) is taking place.
During the event, ANR’s last message from the ICU in the family WhatsApp group was played, bringing tears to the eyes of everyone in the auditorium.
ANR said, “All my well-wishers have been very attentive and kind to me. I am aware that you have been worried about my health. My family members are also keeping you posted about the progress in my health. They are trying to ensure that you are not worried about me. I am doing well; I am recovering. You don’t have to be worried about me at all. I will be out soon. I will be available to meet all of you soon. I know that I have all your blessings all the time. My health, my happiness, my prosperity—they have all been your blessings and your unwavering belief in me. Now, with the same belief, I will try to live longer in good health. And I believe that I will. I hope it continues to be like this. I am hoping my health will get better, and my well-wishers will also be happy. Taking my leave now; your blessings mean everything to me.”
All the people in the auditorium, including Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan, Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh, and Ramya Krishna, were very emotional, with tears in their eyes.
