AP/TS Advances: Jawan Surprising All

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most followed Hindi stars in the Telugu states. And adding to that, the Telugu audience are whole lot receptive to action films. As a result, SRK’s Jawan, which is releasing on 7 September, is seeing sensational advance bookings in the Telugu states.

In the online ticketing platform, Book My Show, Jawan is seen having some gala time as the film is seeing pretty good advances in all the areas, and particularly so in Hyderabad.

The advances are at a surprisingly good rate two days before the release. Close to 75% of the shows are fast filling and a a few are sold out as well.

The last time a Bollywood film saw such pretty good advances in the Telugu states was for Pathaan and Bramhastra. Now, SRK is doing it with Jawan.

Jawan is directed by South Indian director Atlee and it has Nayanthara in the female lead roles. These two could also be having a small contributing factor to the bookings.

At this rate, Jawan could be recording the best ever openings for a Bollywood film in the Telugu states. All this, without a single promotional event in the twin Telugu states. The love the Telugu folk have for cinema is unparalleled and this clearly proves the same.
