AR Rahman’s most sensible reply to warning

Legendary music director often referred to Mozart of Madras, AR Rahman has always steered clear of controversies in his career. In his long two decades plus career there is hardly anything that could be put in those category.

For the first time despite having such clean image the musician has been issued a warning from a religious head recently for working on a film. It was issued with an assumption that the film would do harm to the Muslim community. Today Rahman has responded in the most mature fashion anyone could imagine from a celebrity in India.

The music director highlights parts of ‘Quran’ in his reply that juxtaposed with the words in Fatwa. He said that he in doing the movie only with the sole purpose of love and to let other misguided people know what Islam truly is. We have to see how the people who opposed the film are going to react to his sensible reply.
